The Chapelle Darblay plant is the last and only one to manufacture 100% recycled newsprint in France. Stopped in June 2020, the plant was threatened with permanent closure. However, three staff representatives fought to continue the paper activity and put forward an ecological takeover project. They were supported by the collective Plus Jamais Ça, born of the meeting between Philippe Martinez, general secretary of the historic French CGT union, and Jean-François Julliard, general manager of Greenpeace France. With the exceptional agreement of all these actors to participate in the film, "Sauvons Chapelle Darblay" tells the story of an unprecedented fight, bringing together men and women committed to preserving the environment while safeguarding their jobs. When three workers fight to keep their factory open, their heroic success paves the way for new ecological and social battles.
